Nothing stresses how much Montreal needs repertory cinema like the advent of a new David Lynch movie, so kudos once again to the new Cinéma du Parc for existing. Inland Empire, Lynch's latest, opens next week in Montreal in tandem with the film's release in rep cinemas across the country, and how sad would it be if there was nowhere to show it? Plus, in a brilliant brainstorm, the Parc marks the occasion with a retrospective of all Lynch's directorial work save Dune, because he didn't have final cut.
